We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and we don't set any cookies of our own. No third-party scripts load on getbestbylocals.com.

What may still be stored on your device

• Security cookies from our host. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from bots and attacks. They don't track you across sites.
• Your saved guide (after you buy). When you open your guide, your browser keeps a copy so it still works through short gaps in mobile signal. The copy includes its expiry time and is deleted automatically when your access window ends, even if you're offline. This is strictly necessary to provide the guide you asked for.
• Referral and campaign details. If the link you followed contains a partner ID (aff), campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) or a discount code (discount), your browser keeps them for this tab only (session storage, cleared when you close it) and we pass them to our payment provider with your order, so we know where the order came from.
• Your light or dark display choice, if you use the theme switch, is kept in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.
• Your language choice is part of the web address (for example /en/), so no cookie is needed.

Checkout

When you continue to checkout you go to the page of our payment provider. Its pages may use their own cookies, as described in the provider's own policies.

Changes

If we ever add non-essential cookies or third-party scripts, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and update this notice.
