About the area

Yokohama Chinatown grew up after the port opened in 1859, and today hundreds of shops crowd a few lively blocks behind its painted gates. This route grazes through steamed pork buns, pan-fried soup buns, giant soup dumplings, Hong Kong pastries, slow-cooked congee and Taiwanese tea, with temples and the harbour a few steps away.
