About the area
Barranco is Lima's old seaside district on the clifftop south of Miraflores, a place of colourful mansions, a wooden bridge and a ravine down to the beach. This route tastes the city's everyday favourites in a few short blocks: ceviche and leche de tigre, Lima's classic sandwiches and tamales, chifa dim sum and Italian-style gelato.

Food and dietary notice
Cross-contamination is likely, so our food guides are not recommended if you have food allergies. We can't cater for religious dietary requirements and we don't state whether anything is halal. Where we know a dish contains pork, beef or alcohol we say so, but that is not conclusive — check directly with each vendor. You take part at your own risk.
If you have a severe or life-threatening allergy, we recommend you don't take part.
What's in your guide
- Opening hours checked with the vendors and on Maps on 7 Oct 2026.

- Spare stops, in case one is shut when you get there.
